Oh! My Child Knows Me
Oh! My child knows me, knows my pain,
She’s ridiculed by society, yet she’s a woman,
But she must rise—with willpower, with grace.
Oh! My child knows me, knows my tears,
She’s humiliated by family, yet she’s a woman,
But she must endure—with love, with strength.
Oh! My child knows me, knows my struggle,
She’s teased by friends, yet she’s a woman,
But she must speak—openly, truthfully.
Oh! My child knows me, knows my silence,
She’s disrespected by neighbors, yet she’s a woman,
But she must stand—firm, unshaken.
Hey, my child!
Let your focus shine; success will follow.
Society remains unchanged, yet
Your worth demands justice, equality.
Yo! My honey,
You see the world, aware and wise,
Life is a tapestry—woven with joy and sorrow,
Through trials and triumphs, seek enlightenment.
